Harry Potter Month at TMS: Back to Hogwarts face masks

Texarkana, Texas The Texarkana Museums System kicks off the annual Harry Potter Month at 2 p.m. Saturday by helping kids prepare to go back to school in the face of the current pandemic.

Join TMS staff at the Museum of Regional History as they make two no-sew face masks, great for those kids who are going back to school. They'll have one to wear and one to wash, according to a news release.

Held at the Museum of Regional History, 219 N. State Line Ave., the event will practice social distancing, and hands-on activities will be conducted in groups not exceeding eight persons. Advance registration is required to adequately plan for social distancing needs. The admission of $15 per person with TMS members receiving a $5 discount includes snacks and kits.

For those not wishing to participate in person, activity kits may be purchased for $10. TMS Members pay $5. Video of the activity will be available on Facebook on Aug. 2.
