The Cooper Texarkana facility, now owned by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, is seeking to expand its team, with openings for new associates in production, skilled trade and engineering roles.

"Manufacturing is technology driven and fast paced, and we are offering opportunities to join the team that -- with the combination of Goodyear and Cooper Tire -- is becoming the U.S.-based leader in the global tire industry," said Tom Cullins, Texarkana plant manager. "What we do goes beyond producing tires; we help keep the world moving."

The Texarkana plant has been a valued member of the local community for more than 50 years and continues to be a dynamic part of the community today. As one of the area's leading employers, the plant offers a variety of career options and employment opportunities for highly skilled and experienced professionals, as well as those new to the workforce.

"We have jobs for people who like working independently and for those who like to work in groups," said Cullins. "You can start in one role and stay there if you love it or move to another position in the company. We make it a priority to promote from within. So, when you join our team, the possibilities are endless."

While the opportunities for growth and advancement bring many job candidates in the door, Cullins said it's the plant's positive culture that keeps them here.

"When you join our team, you become part of a global family that is dedicated to building a better future. We believe our best investment is our associates, whose different talents, experiences and cultures pave the road to our successes."

Plant associates participate in a variety of local events and activities and help support a number of community organizations and programs. For example, the plant actively takes part in the United Way of Greater Texarkana's annual campaign, including hosting a Big Bass Fishing Tournament and a Golf Tournament fundraisers. In April, the local United Way recognized the Texarkana plant as its top contributor in 2021, raising close to $150,000 to support local nonprofit programs.

"There are countless reasons to consider a career with us," Cullins said. "My personal favorite, though, is that every day, we get to help people go through life's journeys with confidence because we make the quality tires they need today and for the new mobility needs that are on the horizon for tomorrow."

The Texarkana plant is part of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, one of the world's largest tire companies that employs about 72,000 people and manufactures its products in 57 facilities in 23 countries around the world.
