Although I think plastic shelving units and baskets are the solution to my chaotic craft space, am I starting off the year on the right foot? Or am I just jumping in with no direction?

Could this be why I cannot stay organized?

With too many questions and not enough answers. I decided to ask a few professionals in the Texarkana area about what to do when it comes to organizing my life. Here is what they had to say:

Crystal Wellington works has worked as a maid for Odds & Ends Finishing Touch Cleaning Service for more than five years.

Question: What do you recommend for organizing the "junk drawer?"

Answer: I love a good junk drawer! Small plastic drawer organizers for the space works great! Normally, you can purchase this type of organizer in a pack of six or so. They come in different sizes and shapes.

Q: Where should someone start when they begin organizing their home?

A: The junk drawer is a great place to start. Pull everything out of the drawer and separate everything by like items. If there are items in the drawer that should go into another part of the house, move them to the correct spot. If you have an overflow of a particular item (example: pens), then eliminate the item down to a manageable amount. Finally, you need drawer organizers to keep everything in place.

Q: What is the one thing that you recommend for anyone as an organizing basic?

A: My number one recommendation is to get a good label maker and clear bins. The label maker will make everything look nice and the clear bins will allow you to see what is in the bin without opening it.
