TEXARKANA, Texas -- The Texarkana Area Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 278, will hold their 25th annual Veterans Information Fair on Saturday next week.
The even will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 21 -- Armed Forces Day -- at the Texas Elks Lodge 2771, 3702 New Boston Road.
The fair is held to assist military veterans, including those actively serving, as well as in the reserves and in the National Guard.
Veterans will be able to receive information from a variety of agencies, including the Texas Veterans Commission; the Texas Work Force Center; the local Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Texarkana, Arkansas; the VA Medical Centers in both Shreveport and Little Rock; the U.S. Social Security Administration; the Arkansas Office of Veterans Affairs; the Arkansas Workforce Center; and Texarkana College Veteran Service officers.
Other agencies include the Texas A&M University-Texarkana Veteran Counselors; the Veterans Service officers from both Miller and Bowie Counties; the Area Agency on Aging; Hospice of Texarkana; East Funeral Home; the American Red Cross; Texarkana Funeral Home; and Guardian Health Care.
