Prep Basketball: White Hall keeps Arkansas High boys winless in Conference 5A-South play

TEXARKANA, Ark. -- Senior Zach Graf did all he could for Arkansas High to help keep his team within reach, but the home team found itself in a big hole early on against conference foe White Hall that it couldn't climb out of in a 84-46 loss on Tuesday night inside Razorbacks Gym.

The Bulldogs used its full-court press defense for the entire four quarters of play to keep Arkansas High at bay, as takeaways and errant passes plagued the Razorbacks for most of the contest.

A 30-point showing by White Hall in the third quarter ultimately put the game out of reach for Arkansas High, which remains winless in 5A-South conference play.

Graf lead the Razorbacks with 21 points, collecting 11 in the first half and 10 more in the second half. Mikel Watson and Dailyn Jefferson each added six points a piece, while Quave Ross tossed in five points, and freshman Mahliek Ward contributed four points to round out the offense for Arkansas High.

The Razorbacks will host Hot Springs on Friday.
