Redwater High School drama team receives awards at UIL competitions

REDWATER, Texas -- Redwater High School's Dragon Theatre team earned fifth place at the UIL bi-district contest after placing in second at the UIL district one-act play competition.

The team performed "The Actor's Nightmare" by playwright Christopher Durang.

At the first competition, student Logan Brock was recognized for all star cast. Emma Campbell won honorable mention in the same category, and Coralee Suydam won outstanding technician.

At the bi-district competition, Brock got multiple accolades for all star cast, while Gracie McCoy and Cami McWilliams earned honorable mentions in the same category and Rylee Brown was recognized for outstanding technician.
