Man sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexual assault of child in Miller County, Arkansas

TEXARKANA, Ark. -- A man charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

Tracy G. Austin, 52, was sentenced Monday morning before Judge Carlton Jones in Miller County Circuit Court, according to court records.

In 2017 and 2018, Austin engaged in sexual contact with a minor under the age of 14, according to court records.

Second-degree sexual assault is a Class B felony punishable in Arkansas by a sentence of not less that five years or more than 20.

Austin also has a May court date in Faulkner County, Arkansas, where he is charged with three counts of rape.The crimes were allegedly committed between 2017 and 2021 while he was living in Greenbrier, according to court documents.
