Prep Softball: Texas High belts two grand slams in 24-13 win over Longview

LONGVIEW, Texas -- Mollie Fisher hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in seven runs as Texas High out-powered Longview, 24-13, in a District 15-5A tilt on Thursday at Lady Lobo Field.

Fisher hit her bombs in the second and fourth innings, where the Lady Tigers scored seven runs each. They also put eight more on the board in the fifth and two in the third.

Texas High (18-10-1, 7-4) collected 20 hits in the win.

Along with Fisher, teammates Preslie Clopp belted a grand slam, and Ada Vazquez hit a solo shot. She went 1-for-2 with three walks while Vazquez scored three runs for the visitors. Gabi Landcaster, Cara Williams, and Anna Lee added three hits for the Lady Tigers, and Mally Lumpkin, Sydney Woods, and Sydney King had two apiece.

King, Vazquez, and Eva Treadway combined in the pitcher's circle to strike out five, walk one, and give up 13 hits for the Lady Tigers.

Texas High is set to host Marshall on Friday night.
