DE QUEEN, Ark. -- A 70-year-old woman was killed early Tuesday when she was struck by a vehicle.
Cynthia Gutierrez of De Queen was walking at 7:37 a.m. Tuesday when she was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Ninth Street and Roller Avenue, according to information from the De Queen Police Department. Gutierrez died at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as a 17-year-old juvenile.
The De Queen Police Department is investigating the accident with assistance from the Arkansas State Police.
