A&M-Texarkana opens outdoor season with solid performance at UTA Invitational

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas A&M University-Texarkana opened its outdoor Track and Field season Friday at the 2024 UTA Invitational on the campus of UT Arlington.

With six competitors in five events, the Eagles turned in what coach Nat Amare would call, "a good meet," despite being delayed due to lightning.

Charles Dorsett III earned a spot on the podium, winning the 800 meters and qualifying for the NAIA National Championships with his performance. Daniela Hernandez and Chapman White had Top 10 finished in the steeplechase events.
