TEXARKANA, Texas -- Two men arrested after a fatal shooting at a party on Oct. 28, 2023, are scheduled for hearings this week in Bowie County.

Devon Hayden, 26, is charged with one count of murder, according to court documents. Breoskii Warren, 20, is charged with two counts of manslaughter, according to court records. They will both appear Tuesday in Bowie County's 102nd District Court with Judge Jeff Addison.

The shooting that left three people dead started over a dice game, according to court records.

Hayden was allegedly playing dice with a group of people at 715 N. State Line Ave. when he and Deandre Fezell, 26, began to physically fight over the game, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Fezell fell and was reportedly trying to get up when Hayden allegedly pulled out a pistol and shot him, according to the affidavit. Fezell died at the scene.

When Fezell was shot, Warren allegedly started shooting at Hayden with a rifle, hitting him and about four bystanders, according to Texarkana Texas Police Department.

Hayden was arrested after he was released from the hospital and charged with one count of murder. Warren surrendered Nov. 1.

Alqadis Williams, 30, and Jayla Hampton, 22, died later at the hospital. Two others were treated for wounds that were not considered to be life-threatening.

About 50 people reportedly were in attendance at the party.

Hayden and Warren remain in Bi-State Detention Center. Hayden's bail is set at $3 million and Warren's is set at $1 million, according to jail records.

Warren is represented by attorney Tabitha Branch and Hayden is represented by the Bowie County Public Defender's Office.
