Lady Brahmas roll with win over Hooks, 64-33

HOOKS, Texas - Sissy Jones poured in a game-high 15 points to lead Paul Pewitt to a 64-33 victory over Hooks in a girls varsity basketball game.

Mya Heath contributed 12 points for the Lady Brahmas. Dede Jones and Calli Osmon each scored 11 points for Paul Pewitt.

The Brahmas (17-7, 4-1) host Queen City at 6 p.m. on Friday.

 

Lady Backs fall to Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Journee Hicks ripped the nets for 22 points to lead Hot Springs over Arkansas High, 51-29.

Jamyia Montgomery had a team-high 10 points for the Lady Backs, while teammate Fortunate Barry added nine.

Arkansas High hosts Sheridan on Friday.

 

Lady Mustangs edge
Jefferson, boys fall

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Briana Young lit up the nets for a game-high 19 points as Hughes Springs defeated Jefferson, 46-44.

Rylie Tenbrook scored 13 points for the Lady Mustangs.

Chase Brown and Trayvon Kennedy each scored nine points for Hughes Springs in the varsity boys game, but the Bulldogs ran away with it, 60-28.

Centerpoint
sneaks past Fouke in OT

FOUKE, Ark. - Taylor Hardin, who hit five shots from 3-point land, finished with 29 points for Fouke, but the Lady Panthers were edged by Centerpoint in overtime, 61-60.

Mallory Oliver scored 15 points for Fouke, and teammate Annsley Griffith had seven points to go with her 14 rebounds.

The Lady Panthers sank 10 shots from downtown as a team.

Paige Attaway scored nine points in the junior high game, and the Panthers won, 30-25. Jacie Bishop score six points for Fouke.

Fouke (13-4) plays at Prescott on Friday.

 

Bobcats defend home court, defeat De Queen

HOPE, Ark. - Corey Lewis put up a team-high 17 points to lead Hope over De Queen, 56-53, in a varsity boys game.

Zakeis Raglon contributed 13 points for the Bobcats.

Will Dykes scored a game-high 22 points for the Leopards, while teammate Weston Harp put up 15 points.

Hope hosts Arkadelphia at 6 p.m. on Friday.
