Five Hawks honored on Class 4A all-state team

TEXARKANA, Texas - Five Pleasant Grove baseball players were honored on the Class 4A state baseball all-tournament team.

Coe Blain received the highest honor, Most Valuable Player, and was the winning pitcher in the Hawks' 2-1, title-clinching victory over Rusk.

Blake Jennings was named pitcher, Tucker Anderson was chosen at first base, JM Long earned shortstop and Brock Bearden was named in the outfield.

Rounding out the team were catcher Rylan Galvan from Sinton, second baseman Brett Rawlinson (Rusk), Wade Williams (Rusk) at third, Will Dixon (Rusk) and Kyle Styron (Stephenville) in the outfield and JD Thompson (Rusk) as the utility player.
