ATHENS, Texas - While the venue has changed, the Region II-3A boys basketball tournament will be held in a similar format as previous years, this weekend at Athens High School.
Atlanta (19-4) clashes with Dallas Madison (21-5) in the second game of the regional semifinals Friday at 8 p.m. Tatum (22-3) and Paris Chisum (20-8) play at 6 p.m. in the other semifinal, and the winners meet at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Region II-3A finals.
The Region II champions face the Region I winners in the state semifinals next week, and the 3A state finals will be held in San Antonio, Texas, at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 12 at the Alamodome.
