NEW BOSTON, Texas-Bowie County's Precinct 1 road department may soon be getting a new backhoe.
The Bowie County Commissioners Court will meet 9 a.m. today on the Bowie County Courthouse's second floor to consider opening bids submitted by companies seeking to sell the county a backhoe. Once the bids are opened and studied, the commissioners will consider accepting one of them.
In other business, commissioners will listen to a report on programs the county's agricultural extension office is participating in. Bowie County Agricultural Extension Agent Cherrie Curtis will deliver
the presentation.
