Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/RICK MCFARLAND --10/21/14-- Steve Slate, with V.R. Smith and Sons of Little Rock, pulls nails to remove the tarp covering a large hole in the roof of the Plum Bayou Cabin in the 1850s' farmstead on the grounds of the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock Tuesday. High winds from a storm on June 6, blew two large hardwood trees over onto the cabin. The cabin will be repaired with materials similar to those of the era in which it was built.

A tree blown over from the storm blocks College Drive between the intersections of Main and Pine streets on Thursday in Texarkana, Texas.

The tree landed on a power line, causing power to go out in the neighborhood and along Texas Boulevard. Texarkana, Texas, employees immediately began removing the tree to restore power.

The fallen tree caused a power outage striking about 900 residents in the area of College Drive.

Power was lost around 6 p.m. and was restored before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Besides the College Drive area, about 500 residents in the Maud, Texas, area also had their power restored before 8:30 p.m., Thursday, according to SWEPCO spokesman Peter Main.
