Portion of U.S. 71 north of I-30 closed to clean up wreck

A dirt truck flipped over on U.S. Highway 71 at the intersection of Forest Lake Drive in Texarkana, Texas on Tuesday morning.

The single-vehicle accident occurred about 9:45 a.m. when the truck's driver apparently rounded a curve too fast, according to preliminary investigative details.

The driver was transported by LifeNet to a local hospital with minor injuries as a precaution because of his age.

A portion of northbound and southbound lanes have been blocked off until crews can clear the roadway.
