De Queen woman faces drug charge

A De Queen woman has been arrested on a drug paraphernalia charge after a traffic stop on Sunday.

Officer Jarrin Platt with the De Queen Police Department was on patrol about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when he pulled over a vehicle with expired registration, according to a news release.

The driver was identified as Bridgett Sparks, 35, of De Queen.

Sparks allegedly told police there was nothing illegal in the car and complied when asked to step out of the vehicle and allowed police to search the vehicle.

Upon searching the car, officers found a set of digital scales in the console, three small clear plastic bags and three glass smoking pipes all containing suspected methamphetamine residue.
