TEXARKANA, Texas - Texarkana College announced the death of TC Police Officer Damon Lynn, who died Saturday from injuries received in a motorcycle accident near the highway intersections of Interstate 49 and Interstate 20 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Lynn was participating in a recreational motorcycle ride with fellow police officers when the accident happened. The crash is still under investigation, but there were no other vehicles involved.
Lynn joined the TCPD in August 2016 and had served as a patrolman since that time. Prior to his service with TCPD, he served in law enforcement with the Bowie County Sheriff's Office; the New Boston, Texas, Police Department; the Grand Prairie Police Department; and in Oklahoma.
