McLEOD, Texas - Because of multiple cases of the flu, McLeod ISD canceled school today and Friday, according to a Facebook post by the district.
Based on information gathered from parents and staff, "We are concerned about putting the students back together at this point. We have many with compromised immune systems and we are still seeing a heavy concentration in our elementary," the post stated.
School will resume on Monday, Jan. 27.
Another post by the McLeod ISD states that junior high games for Friday are canceled. Varsity teams will still be in action as they travel to Detroit, with the girls game beginning at 5 p.m followed by the boys.
