TEXARKANA, Texas - A man allegedly shot his estranged wife in the leg Wednesday before allegedly killing himself in the parking lot of the Cosmetology Academy of Texarkana.
The man and woman are believed to have been an estranged husband and wife, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.
The Cosmetology Academy is in the 989 Plaza shopping center on North Kings Highway.
The man allegedly shot the woman in the leg about 2 p.m. Wednesday just outside the door of the cosmetology school.
The woman then went inside and the man allegedly returned to the parking shot and fatally shot himself near his car.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover from her injury, Vaughn said.
No names or ages had not been released as of late Wednesday.
