ATLANTA, Texas - During the Memorial Day weekend, Landon Moore decided to take his passion for music and turn it into an honoring moment by playing Taps.

Moore, a 15-year-old sophomore at Atlanta High School, gives credit for his playing and drive of learning to his band teachers Kristen and David Thompson and Larry Brashears, said his mother, Summer Moore.
"He has two uncles, one Army Ranger and one in the Marines, that have done tours to Afghanistan and Iraq after 9/11, and we are truly grateful for them making it home to us," Summer Moore said. "Landon comes from a family that has been in different branches of the military and we are forever grateful to all, but especially grateful to the soldiers that have lost their lives and to their families."
Landon's passion for music includes playing trumpet as well as being a self-taught bass guitar player.
