TEXARKANA, Texas - Pecan Point Gastropub and Brewery downtown is hosting its second Touchdown and Tastings event to benefit Opportunities Inc.
"The event takes place from 3-7 p.m. this Sunday, said owner Bill Scurlock. "It will be a beer and food tasting as well as a fundraiser for Opportunities Inc. Last year went so well, Opportunities Inc., wanted another round. So here we go."
How it works is that the event entry fee will get a selection of craft beer tastings, paired with food items for the occasion, such as honey butter chicken bites, bacon wrapped duck, jalapeno poppers, fried macaroni and cheese and more. In all, there will be 10 craft beer and food pairings.
The bar will be open, as well. (Must be 21 or older to participate.)
Ticket proceeds will go to support Opportunities, Inc. a local nonprofit organization that helps those with developmental disabilities.
