TEXARKANA, Texas - A book fair benefiting Friends of the Library is scheduled for Oct. 29.

The event promises "a great book sale, hot cocoa and cookies, and a chat with your favorite librarians."

The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Texarkana Public Library, 600 W. Third St., weather permitting.
