Texarkana College will hold board meeting Monday morning

The Texarkana College Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting Monday morning where they will have a retreat for 2020-2022 Strategic Planning, as well as consider the approval of an amended capital budget.

The meeting will convene at 9:00 AM in the Great Room, at the Truman Arnold Student Center, 2500 North Robison Road, Texarkana,
TX 75599.

After the call to order and pledge of allegiance, the Board will hold a retreat for 2020-2022 Strategic
Planning.

They will then convene in closed session to discuss the following
issues:

Private Consultation with the Board's attorney.

Discussing or deliberating purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property.

 Discussing or deliberating negotiated contract for prospective gift or donation to the college.

Discussing or deliberating appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or
employee.

Discussing or deliberating the deployment or specific occasions for implementation of security personnel or devices.

Investigation; exclusion of witness from a hearing during examination of another witness.

Discussing economic development negotiations or offer of financial or other incentive to business
prospects.

Deliberation regarding test item or information related to a test item pertaining to license or certification test administered by the
college.

They will then reconvene to open session to consider the approval of the consent agenda, amended capital budget for 2020-2021 and Request for Proposal for capital projects.

After reports from President Jason Smith, Vice President of Finance Kim Jones, Vice President of Instruction Donna McDaniel and Dean of Students Robert Jones, a possible closed session will be considered before adjournment.
