Tornado Watch

The National Weather Service in Shreveport, Louisiana, has issued tornado watch for the Texarkana region and is in effect until 8 p.m.


TEXARKANA — Severe thunderstorms are expected for the Texarkana region this afternoon and through this evening.

Damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes are possible with these storms as they develop ahead of a cold front, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The severe threat will continue until around midnight for parts of the area.

The high temperature today will be 76 degrees and a low of 52.

Sunny skies will return Thursday, with a high in the lower-80s and a low of 62. 

Friday's forecast shows a 61% chance of scattered thunderstorms, with a high of 79 and a low of 61.
