Man, three juveniles arrested, accused of firing shots in Texarkana, Arkansas

TEXARKANA, Ark. - An 18-year-old Texarkana, Texas, man and three juveniles are in custody after allegedly firing shots in a Texarkana, Arkansas, neighborhood.

Clayton Moore Jr., 18, and three juvenile males are being held on charges of terroristic acts, according to a news release from the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.

At 2:28 a.m. Wednesday, police officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Hickory Street for a call for service, according to the news release. While officers were on the scene, they heard gunshots in the distance that appeared to be coming from the 3200 block of Laurel Street.

Officers were responding to that location when they encountered a gray Honda Accord driving at a high rate of speed, traveling in their direction around the 3200 block of Pecan Street. The officers observed the vehicle failing to stop at stop signs. The officers made a traffic stop on the vehicle and found the occupants in possession of firearms, according to the news release.

Officers investigated the area in the 3200 block of Laurel Street, and shell casings were found.

Detectives began their investigation and determined a parked vehicle had been shot in the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
