Bowie County: More than 100 new active cases, 6 deaths in three days

From Monday to Thursday, Bowie County, Texas' number of active coronavirus rose by 115, from 850 to 965, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Six county residents died because of COVID-19 in that time, moving the total from 131 to 137, as cumulative cases went up from 3,274 to 3,362. There have been 3,508 recoveries in the county.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas from Monday to Thursday, Red River County's total case count rose from 330 to 336, Morris County's from 425 to 439, Cass County's from 944 to 960 and Titus County's from 2,283 to 2,328, according to TDSHS.

In Southwest Arkansas, Miller County's active case count decreased from 167 to 152 as the total confirmed case count increased from 2,158 to 2,193, according to the Arkansas Department of Health. There have been 17 deaths and 2,024 recoveries in the county.

Lafayette County's total case count rose from 274 to 282 Monday to Thursday, Nevada County's from 537 to 539, Pike County's from 622 to 641, Little River County's from 726 to 738, Howard County's from 847 to 864, Hempstead County's from 1,077 to 1,101 and Sevier County's from 1,592 to 1,606, according to ADH.

In Northwest Louisiana from Monday to Thursday, Caddo Parish's case count increased from 19,894 to 20,490 and Bossier Parish's from 10,102 to 10,455, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 214,199 confirmed cases and 4,228 deaths on Thursday, Louisiana reported 361,148 cases and 8,080 deaths, and Texas reported 1,794,545 cases and 31,050 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday reported 22,965,957 total cases in the U.S. so far, with a national death toll of 383,351.
