TEXARKANA - Tonight's Downtown Live event will move indoors because of possible rain, said Main Street Texarkana Executive Director Ina McDowell.

Artists will be situated in four indoor locations instead of the Broad Street sidewalk outside.

"We basically condensed the artists. We will still have the same number," McDowell said.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with artists painting and making their art live.

Artist locations will be:

- Joseph Raymond Fine Art will host Chris Thomas, Judy Jones, Melissa Mitchell, Richard Cramer and Linda Larey.

- 1894 City Market will host Christopher Bachers, Georgia Hubnik, Debbie Nicholas, Judy Wright Walter and Mary Beck.

- Tom Morrissey's building at 124 W. Broad St. will host the grand opening for his art gallery along with guitarists playing bluegrass music.

- Silvermoon on Broad will host Joel Wright, Jenny Stevens and David Price.

- The dueling pianos of Paul Whitt and Josh Lawrence will perform at Verona restaurant. Piano music is also on tap for Silvermoon and 1894 City Market.

"We've moved our musicians indoors, too," McDowell said.

McDowell said the community has responded positively to this downtown art event, and the artists themselves are excited.

"People are excited just to come down," she said.
