Janie Mae Thomas, age 77, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at her daughter's home in Fouke, Arkansas surrounded by her family. Mrs. Thomas was born January 25, 1942 in Hughes Springs, Texas and lived in Texarkana since 1958. She was retired from Mayo Manufacturing Corporation in Texarkana after thirty-five years of service. Mrs. Janie was employed with Wal-Mart Super Center for nineteen years. She was an active member of Apostolic Life United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Willie M. Thomas. Mrs. Thomas can be best described as a loving, caring, hardworking, independent person who would give you the shirt off her back. She is survived by her special friend Joe Moore, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Thomas of Texarkana, Arkansas; Eddie and April Thomas of Texarkana, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Marlon Ebey of Fouke, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; Ashli Meade and her husband Adam, Randall Thomas and his wife Lacie, Brittani Langley and her husband Jason, Daniel Thomas and his wife Codie, Christopher Thomas and his wife Lauren, Brent Mixon and his wife Megan, Summer DeSoto, Laura Ebey and Sarah Ebey, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with Rev. Michael Ainsworth officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. The family will be gathered at the home of her daughter, Betty Ebey in Fouke, Arkansas.
