Luther Dale Lockeby

Luther Dale Lockeby, formerly of Foreman, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at a De Kalb, Texas care facility. He was 76. Luther was born November 17, 1943, in Delight, Arkansas, to Roy Roland and Zea Wissenhunt Lockeby. He was a retired Truck Driver in the Logging Business and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joy Fay Lockeby; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Betty Lockeby of De Kalb, Texas, Rodney and Ledita Lockeby of Nashville, Arkansas and Danny and Lyn Lyn Lockeby of Nashville, Arkansas; one daughter, Sandra Gainey of Nashville, Arkansas; two stepsons, Toby Gurley of Foreman, Arkansas and Clovis Gurley of Foreman, Arkansas; three sisters, Linda Kegley, Betty Pipkins and Juanita Hilliard; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2020 at Gravelly Cemetery in Foreman, Arkansas with Rev. Shannon Crawford officiating, under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2020 at Gravelly Cemetery in Foreman, Arkansas.
