JEAN HOWARD

Jean Howard, 91, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, September 22, 2020, in a local nursing facility. Ms. Howard was born May 28, 1929, in Texarkana, Texas. She taught physical education for many years; was an Episcopalian; and loved reading and listening to Razorback basketball on the radio. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Sr. and Myrtle Howard; a brother, Fred Howard Jr.; and a nephew, Fred Howard III. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Martha Howard of Texarkana, Ark; a sister-in-law, Alice Howard, of Texarkana, Texas; nieces Teresa Norton of Tyler, Texas, and Heather Howard of London, UK; nephews Richard Howard of Wake Village, Texas, and John Howard of London, UK; and a number of great-nieces and nephews. Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 27, at Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Moores Lane. Online registration is at www.eastfuneralhomes.com.
