HURSHEL KELSOE <br />CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Hurshel Kelsoe, 78, of Avery, Texas, died Friday, June 27, 2008, in a Tyler, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Kelsoe was born July 16, 1929, in Hooks, Texas. He was a farmer, a rancher and a member of Avery United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Dwight Kelsoe. <br />Survivors include his wife, Effie Nicks Kelsoe; three sons, Edwin Kelsoe, Mike Kelsoe and Trent Kelsoe of Avery; three sisters, Evonne Thompson of Powderly, Texas, and Maureece Hall and Doris Cagle of Avery; one brother, Ralph Kelsoe of Avery; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Avery United Methodist Church with the Revs. Roddy Jackson and Gary McCain officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.clarksvillefuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
