BETTY WORKS

Betty Jo Works, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at her daughter’s home. <br />Mrs. Works was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Texarkana, Ark. She was a homemaker, a retired cabinet builder and a member of South Texarkana United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Works; and one daughter, Sandra Bartlett. <br />Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Tackett of Texarkana and Pam Bartlett of Carterville, Texas; one son, Tom Works of Asheville, N.C.; two sisters, Alma Cox of Fulton, Ark., and Ernestine Keith of Texarkana; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. <br />Cremation arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the home of Vicki Tackett, 2516 McIntyre St., Texarkana, Texas. <br />Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
