GAY WOOTEN

LINDEN, Texas—Gay Wooten, 89, of Linden died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Wooten was born March 8, 1919, in Mount Vernon, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Wooten. <br />Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Jim and Jan Wooten of Linden and Bobby Wooten of Greenville, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Sherman Triche of Pineville, La.; two sisters, Sybil Reed of Texarkana and Gordie Thomas of New Boston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Hill Cemetery with Ed Lawless officiating.
