MARJORIE PHELPS

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Marjorie Evelyn Sharp “Margie” Phelps, 86, of Winthrop, Ark., died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at her home. <br />Mrs. Phelps was born March 20, 1923, in Henrietta, Okla. She was a retired employee of Winthrop Public Schools and a member of Community of Christ Church, Winthrop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Lee Phelps on May 5, 1977; and one son, Larry Phelps on Nov. 11 1988. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Melba and Terry Hess of Winthrop; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dean Flowers of California and Joan and Al Hale of Garland, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Ruby Sharp of Garland, Texas, and Joe and Jo Frances Sharp of Winthrop; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Community of Christ Church with Gary Hess and Bobby Kesterson officiating.
