WILLIAM KIRBY

William Laxton “W.L.” Kirby, 59, of Redwater, Texas, died Sunday, April 5, 2009. <br />Mr. Kirby was born Jan. 1, 1950, in Texarkana. He was employed with Lear Siegler Services Inc. and attended the First Biker’s Church. He was preceded in death by two wives, Carroll Kirby and Pattie Kirby. <br />Survivors include two sons, William Daniels of Texarkana and Jordan Purifoy of Genoa, Ark.; three daughters, Melodie Stanfield of Douglassville, Texas, Melinda Taylor of Fouke, Ark., and Patricia Thrasher of Mississippi; his mother, Joyce Kirby of Redwater; one sister, Jean Phillips of Fouke; four brothers: Michael Kirby and Jesse Kirby of Redwater, Ronnie Kirby of Douglassville and Kenneth Kirby of Hooks, Texas; one special friend, Glenda Bean of Hooks; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rock Hill Cemetery with Gary Don Sandlin officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />The family will be at the home of Joyce Kirby. <br />Memorials may be made to Faith Community Baptist Church, 5265 FM 3098, Maud, TX 75567. <br /> <br />
