MAE PAYNE

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Mae Dell Griffin Payne, 93, of Ashdown died Monday, April 13, 2009, in Tyler, Texas. <br />Mrs. Payne was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Center Point, Ark. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ashdown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovie Payne. <br />Survivors include two sons, Tommy Payne of Flint, Texas, and David Payne of Wilton, Ark.; two daughters, Martha Cummings of Nash, Texas, and Pat Sukiennik of Flint; six stepchildren, Mildred Glover, Christine Hendrix, Ola Mae Summerill, Dan Payne, Burnice Payne and Fred Payne; five sisters, Iva Crawford and Jeweline Crawford of Ashdown, Bea Conatser and Betty Jo Johnson of Texarkana and Linda Fay Lummus of Ogden, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Madden Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Wilton Cemetery, Wilton, Ark. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
