JAMES CHANNEL

ATLANTA, Texas—James Levester Channel, 58, of Atlanta died Thursday, April 9, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Channel was born Dec. 16, 1950, in Atlanta. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Hiram Street. <br />Survivors include one son, Brian Channel of Atlanta; one daughter and son-in-law, Oshawa and Devin Smith of Inglewood, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Channel of Atlanta and LaRoy Channel of Austin; two sisters, Faye Brooks and Debra Channel of Atlanta; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Srygley officiating. Burial will be in Ware Cemetery under direction of Community Mortuary. <br /> <br />
