LEE RONEY

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Lee Roy Roney, 57, of Mount Pleasant died Sunday, April 12, 2009, in Tyler, Texas. <br />Mr. Roney was born June 12, 1951, in Mount Pleasant. He was an employee at Hospitality House and a member of Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include his wife, Nancy Vaughn Roney of Dallas; two daughters, Kimberly Roney and Latonia Roney-Williams of Dallas; three sons, Cedrick Roney, Dedrick Roney and Urih Roney of Dallas; his mother, Hazell Roney of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Mitchell Roney, Phillip Roney and Danny Roney of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, LeeOlla Roney-Nichols of Garland, Texas, and Debbie Roney-Jones of Mount Pleasant; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Bertrand Bailey Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Old West Side Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary. <br />The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
