LUCILLE JENKINS

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Lucille “Aunt Cil” Jenkins, 94, of Mount Pleasant died Sunday, April 12, 2009, in Kansas City, Mo. <br />Mrs. Jenkins was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Mount Pleasant. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of God in Christ, where she was the leader of the Purity Class and midweek prayer services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jenkins Sr.; and one son, Billy Joe Jenkins. <br />Survivors include one son, Herman Jenkins Jr. of Dallas; four brothers, Billy Wilkerson, Warner Wilkerson and Preston Wilkerson of Dallas and Willie Ray Wilkerson of Fremont, Calif.; three sisters, Jessie B. Hardaway, Lillian Rogers and Mary Frances Williams of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop R.L. Asberry officiating. Burial will be in Searcy Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary. <br />The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at First Church of God in Christ. <br /> <br />
