JERRY THOMPSON

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Jerry Thompson, 70, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 23, 2009, in a Paris, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Thompson was born May 17, 1938. He was retired from Red River County Sheriff’s office and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Thompson and Tommy Thompson; and one grandson, Tommy Earl Thompson. <br />Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Tate Thompson; one son and daughter-in-law, Butch and Chrissy Thompson of Avery, Texas; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Kellam officiating.
