M.C. LAFAYETTE

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—M.C. Lafayette, 63, of Naples, Texas, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, in a Dallas hospital. <br />Mr. Lafayette was born June 17, 1945, in Morris County, Texas. He was a foreman for U.S. Steel and a deacon at Williams Chapel Baptist Church, Naples. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Lafayette. <br />Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Karen and Stevie McGill and Janice Sewell of Dallas; one sister, Alma of Hope, Ark.; three brothers, Joe Lafayette and Leon Lafayette of Daingerfield, Texas, and Willie George Lafayette Jr. of Dallas; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Naples, with the Rev. J.M. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Whitmore Cemetery, Daingerfield, under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be noon to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.reeder-davis.com. <br />
