TRUITT THOMPSON

Truitt Thompson, 83, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, April 24, 2009. <br />Mr. Thompson was born May 20, 1925, in Texarkana, Texas. He was an adjuster for the federal government, an employee of the Texas Employment Commission, a member of High-land Park Baptist Church and American Legion and a World War II Navy veteran. <br />Survivors include one brother, Elwood Thompson; two special friends, Dianne and Sid Phillips of Texarkana; nine nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with the Rev. Bill Saxby officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com. <br />
