DOROTHY COOK

ATLANTA, Texas—Dorothy D. Cook, 84, of Bivins, Texas, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in Texarkana, Texas. <br />Mrs. Cook was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Ida, La. She was a retired bookkeeper with Ratliff Deep Breaking and a member of Huffines Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Horace Cook; one son, Charles Earl Cook; one grandson, Brandon Cook; and two great-grandsons, Lee Allen Hullett and Ryan Blizzard. <br />Survivors include one son, Clark Cook of Topeka, Kan.; five daughters, Linda and Hayden Kirkpatrick of Whitehouse, Texas, Elaine King of Sugarland, Texas, and Rita Brown, Sheri Anderson and Teresa and Sammy Blizzard of Bivins; one sister, Illine Blizzard of Bivins; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hanner Funeral Service with the Rev. Starkey Gunn officiating. Burial will be in Huffines Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.hannerfuneralservice.com. <br /> <br />
