CARLOS RODGERS

NAPLES, Texas—Carlos L. Rodgers, 77, of DeKalb, Texas, died Friday, July 30, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Rodgers was born Nov. 24, 1931, in DeKalb. He was a transportation supervisor for Red River Army Depot, a member of Spring Hill Cemetery Association Board and a Korean War Army veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Duncan Rodgers of DeKalb; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Laura Rodgers of Longview, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carla and Keenan Howard and Tammy Rodgers of DeKalb; two sisters, Bernice Crouch of DeKalb and Jo Gunter of Houston; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. today at DeKalb Church of Christ with Willard Holliday, Ryan Howard, and Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery under direction of Harrison Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church. <br />Memorials may be made to Spring Hill Cemetery Association c/o Sylvia Engle, 120 East Fannin Street, DeKalb, TX, 75559, or the American Cancer Society.
