U.C. LAIRD

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—U.C. “Carl” Laird, 80, of Avinger, Texas, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, in a Marshall, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Laird was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Pilot Point, Texas. He was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include one daughter, Merri Jo Laird of Gainesville, Texas; and one sister, Mary Laird of Dallas. <br />Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with the Rev.
