ELSIE JONES

Elsie M. Jones, 86, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Jones was born May 16, 1923, in Texarkana. She was retired from Sears, former owner of El Chaparral Mobile Home Park and a member of Gents and Gals Bowling League, The Primetimers Bowling League, United States Bowling Congress Women’s Bowling Association and First Baptist Church, Nash, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Jones. <br />Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Patricia Chapman of Cleburne, Texas, and Jerry and Jan Chapman of Texarkana; one brother, Arthur Skinner of Bullhead City, Ariz.; two sisters, Francis Long of Albany, Ga., and Mertie Feagins of Texarkana; one sister-in-law, Audie Skinner of Texarkana; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Strebeck officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />The family will be at 5100 N.
