HOPE, Ark.—Helen Mae Reed Thomas, 68, of Hope died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Thomas was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Hope. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas. <br />Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary and Tommie Willis and Velma Reed of Hope; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arneal Sr. and Ruby Reed of Hope and Robert and Dorothy Reed of Omaha, Neb.; one grandchild, Michael Fite; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, Hope with the Rev. Billy Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Cave Hill No. 2 Cemetery, Hope under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
