MOSS POINT, Miss.—George E. “Pawpaw By the Water” Young, 78, of Vancleave, Miss., died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, in a Pascagoula, Miss., hospital. <br />Mr. Young was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Moss Point. He was a retired superintendent at Ingalls Shipbuilding, member of Pine Lake Baptist Church and Coast Guard veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Young of Vancleave; three sons and daughters-in-law, including William R. and Sherry Young of Texarkana; one stepdaughter; one brother; two sisters; two grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, including Justin and Michelle Young of Texarkana; six granddaughters and three grandsons-in-law, including Keely and Billy Jackson of New Boston, Texas, and Sheena and Jason Redick of Texarkana; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services were Saturday at Holder-Wells Funeral Home with the Rev.
